Only 34.5 kilometers, but with all the perks: 800M+ elevation gain straight after the start line, stumbling-rooty technical downhills, first aid for a head injury, shouting careless runners back to the trail, friendly checkpoint staff, on the last 10K giving massage to a cramped runner, feeding salt tabs and jelly beans to the racers that bonked, hanging out with the Hungarians and welcoming Andrew with a beer at the finish line, applauding on the ceremony the day after for Viola and Maminti (second and third place of the 100K race).
